About the role
The Respiratory Account Executive (RAE) at SuperCare Health is a dynamic outside sales and marketing representative responsible for reaching out to physician offices, hospitals, and post-acute care providers in a specific territory to seek patient referrals for respiratory equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategic planning and selling to referral sources, including pre-call planning and understanding the sales process.
- Become an expert on core products such as Ventilators, Vests, Oxygen, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory-related equipment and supplies.
- Meet monthly sales goals and quotas to drive revenue for the company.
- Identify and call on top referral sources in your territory to increase patient referrals.
- Call on at least 8 to 10 referral sources per day, establish relationships, set up in-services, and seek patient referrals.
- Be organized, have excellent follow-up skills, and communicate effectively, negotiate, and listen well.
- Make presentations to physicians, home health agencies, and hospitals about our core products and services.
- Manage administrative duties including expense reports, weekly conference calls, emails, monthly sales meetings, billing documentation, and follow-up.
- Provide overall organizational excellence via dedication, quality, and outstanding customer service.
- Understand the durable medical equipment and supply industry, analyze pharmacology products, and apply training on health care industry trends, applicable laws and regulations, market conditions, and the managed health care environment.
- Offer solutions to problems and challenges to physician clients and allocate resources to meet different customer needs and opportunities.
- Monitor performance of plans and make real-time adjustments.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding and apply training and in-service with respect to disease state, products, and relevant competitor products.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively and continue to expand knowledge in these areas.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals, office staff, and others in the patient care continuum.
- Foster team effectiveness and accomplish shared goals through appropriate sharing of knowledge, experience, and information.
- Drive market share growth and maximize sales performance within the indicated use and for approved patients.
- Comprehend and effectively communicate current rules and regulations of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other insurances.
- Have experience in sales and marketing of home healthcare and/or post-acute care.
- Understand the managed health care industry, including reimbursement, State Medicaid programs, medical benefits, and interfacing or education/certification with managed care, provider relations, or both.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the regional sales manager.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited high school.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or natural science.
- Knowledge in the Healthcare DME, Ventilation, Vests, Oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP, and respiratory supplies.
- Industry sales experience is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing of home healthcare and/or post-acute care.
- Understanding of current rules and regulations of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other insurances.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, executive presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in constructive working relationships.
- People-sensitive characteristics, patient and caring behavior approach, and positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Active participant in professional healthcare organizations.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks, cooperate, be a team player, and possess demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
- Ability to function independently with little direction and make best use of work time to complete daily tasks and assignments on schedule.
- Physical effort: lifting and loading of equipment into and out of delivery vehicles and patient homes. Minimum physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
