About the Role
As the Resource Support Assistant, you will provide support to a high-performing team of attorneys and staff. You will report to the Office Administrator and work closely with other teams to provide an integrated range of service, delivering customer-focused, effective support on a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Download and save court ECF filings using firm naming conventions.
- Assist with various administrative projects including uploading and saving documents in the electronic document management system.
- Convert documents, replace text, and run document comparisons.
- Assist with attorney time entry, check requests, and conflicts/new matter intake.
- Handle attorney travel arrangements.
- Assist attorneys with the first draft of billing edits to ensure compliance with client billing guidelines.
- Maintain physical and electronic records using IRM.
- Manage case records, including organizing, indexing, and compiling documents for print records and electronic databases.
- Review, organize, and help prepare discovery documents for use at depositions, mediations, and hearings, and to provide to opposing parties.
- Conduct research about people, companies, law firms, emerging legal issues, court records, and news publications.
- Handle Bates labeling, Bates keys, and related tasks; help manage voluminous client documents.
- Provide back-up coverage for Office Services and Reception, and other departments as requested.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $53,000 to $63,000 annually, based on a 40-hour work week. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.

This position is based on a 40-hour work week.
