Role: This position involves managing patient enrollment, authorizations, and managed care coordination within a busy healthcare environment. Responsibilities: Verify patient information, obtain authorizations for clinical care and diagnostics, facilitate financial assistance, and communicate payment expectations. Serve as a liaison for insurance and clinical staff, ensuring compliance with managed care policies, resolving authorization issues, and updating benefits information. Provide high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and insurance carriers, addressing concerns and improving processes. Support department needs as assigned, including coverage for PAS resources. Qualifications & Skills: Requires 1+ years in a medical office with high-volume patient contact and managed care authorization experience, or 1.5+ years in a high-volume public interaction role with medical experience. Must have comprehensive PAS knowledge, strong computer, communication, and customer service skills, and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding. OHSU Epic and Excel skills are preferred. Ability to work with or without accommodations. Work Environment: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with potential telecommuting after initial period.
