About the role
Provide high-quality, holistic nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICU environments, supporting various hospital units as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and prioritize individualized care plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams using SBAR and handoff processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies.
- Demonstrate leadership by motivating, mentoring, and participating in professional development activities, including performance improvement and research initiatives.
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within six months of hire.
- Ability to provide culturally and age-specific care.
- Effective communication skills and adaptability to change.
Qualifications
- BSN required within five years for nurses hired after January 2010.
- Advanced degrees (MSN or DNP) are optional.
- No prior experience required.
