Resource Pool RN - ICU - Full Time - Nights

About the Role

The Resource Float Pool RN supports ICU services across multiple specialties, including CVICU, SICU, and MICU.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic patient assessments, develop and communicate individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
• Ensure continuous evaluation and documentation of patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams through effective handoffs and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Provide patient and family education and advocate for safety.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring peers, engaging in professional development, and acting as a resource within the team.
• Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to performance improvement.
• Support professional growth and competency development.

Requirements

• Holds an Ohio nursing license.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for ICU areas.
• No experience required; new graduates are welcome.
• Demonstrates culturally competent, age-specific care.
• Effective communication and adaptability to change.

Skills

• Participation in professional organizations is encouraged.
• Ongoing certification (e.g., specialty certifications) is encouraged.
