About the role
Nurses are at the forefront of our commitment to the care and improvement of human life. We partner with our nurses at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center.
As a Float Pool Nurse, you will provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and reasonable judgment in providing a wide variety of services as per the scope of nursing practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
