Resource Nurse (RN)

About the role

Complete Care is seeking an experienced Resource Nurse (RN) to support our skilled nursing facilities throughout the Madison, Wisconsin region. This role serves as a clinical leader, providing coverage for nursing leadership vacancies, assisting with operational needs, supporting regulatory readiness, and helping facilities maintain exceptional standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim clinical leadership and nursing support at skilled nursing facilities throughout the Madison region.
• Cover nursing leadership positions as needed, including Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing responsibilities.
• Support nursing teams with clinical oversight, education, coaching, and mentorship.
• Assist facilities with survey readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to identify opportunities for improving clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Promote person-centered care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
• Build positive relationships with interdisciplinary teams and provide hands-on clinical support when needed.
• Travel throughout the assigned region based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of skilled nursing or long-term care experience required.
• Previous nursing leadership experience required.
• Director of Nursing (DON) experience strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and effectively lead diverse clinical teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Madison, Wisconsin region.
