Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Resource Manager to support our growing Tax Practice in a hybrid work environment. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence by aligning talent with business needs, improving utilization, and delivering insights that support engagement success and financial performance. As a Resource Manager, You Will Collaborate with Tax Practice leaders and engagement teams to understand business needs and drive consistency across locations, with a focus on efficiency and financial performanceAnalyze scheduling, utilization, and forecasting data to provide insights that support staffing decisions and improve workforce planningMonitor staff workloads and proactively address scheduling conflicts to ensure balanced utilization and alignment with engagement needsAlign resources based on skillset, industry experience, technical expertise, and geography to maximize effectiveness and client outcomesGenerate and interpret reports related to productivity, utilization, profitability, and availability, identifying trends and opportunities for improvementFacilitate scheduling discussions, provide recommendations, and follow up on outstanding staffing challenges to ensure timely resolutionMaintain workforce plans and partner with leadership, Finance, and HR to address variances and support strategic initiativesBuild trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, serving as a key advisor on resource management and operational efficiencyParticipate in talent development discussions, offering input on staffing opportunities aligned with individual goals and career growthLead or support onboarding and training related to scheduling systems, tools, and processesContribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing best practices and supporting firmwide resource management initiatives What You Bring To The Role Bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years of experience in resource management, scheduling, or related experience within a professional services or public accounting environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to create presentations with charts, graphics, and data analysisExcellent analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex dataStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsProven ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environmentExperience identifying challenges, making recommendations, and knowing when to escalate complex issuesAbility to influence and collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and levels of the organizationStrong relationship-building skills with a focus on coaching, development, and collaborationAdaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to drive process enhancements and support change initiatives What You Can Expect From Us Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respectThe opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages youA collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional developmentCompetitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeingFlexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of workOpportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures Benefits Information Cherry Bekaert cares about our people. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
