We are a highly motivated and collaborative center that is passionate about serving communities to improve their quality of life. We recognize that every community has its own strengths that should be honored and celebrated. Our research goal is to help communities recognize, grow, and align these strengths with their community goals. We also provide training and guidance to increase the capacity of communities to achieve these goals. The Center is dedicated to applying research to develop sustainable solutions to complex social problems. This new member will join an interdisciplinary team of researchers who are dedicated to each other and the mission to serve organizations and communities in the public health areas of traffic safety, interpersonal violence, substance misuse, and child wellbeing. Program Our research focuses on understanding how culture impacts behavior – especially behavior associated with health and safety. Our work is grounded in a behavioral model based on the social environment and the influence of culture defined as the belief system shared within an identified group. This broadly operating model to measure, analyze, and transform culture is called “Positive Culture Framework” (PCF). This framework is grounded in validated psychological models of human social behaviors related to health and safety. We address a variety of issues working with tribal, federal, state, and community agencies as well as private non-profit and for-profit organizations and companies. Current research projects include promoting child and family wellbeing, growing traffic safety culture, and preventing and addressing substance misuse and stigma. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the development of resources that promote the Center’s research to various audiences.Oversee the iterative development processes associated with resource development (including content and editing revisions, design revisions, etc.).Track multiple resources simultaneously (timelines, deliverables, content development progress, design progress, revisions, dissemination activities, etc.) and communicate progress to the project lead and Center team.In collaboration with other Center staff, contribute to the development of resources and other research project deliverables.Revise resource materials based on feedback and adapt resources for additional audiences as needed.Prepare and coordinate project deliverables for submission ensuring compliance with accessibility (ADA), design, and quality standards.Support the dissemination of research and other resources through traditional and emerging dissemination channels to a wide range of audiences.Monitor and track resources dissemination activities to inform improvements.Identify new and novel ways to reach focus audiences to inform outreach strategies.Assist with the development of communication plans for a variety of health and safety audiences.Collaborate on the Center’s outreach and engagement efforts to include coordinating promotion of research and resources through email, websites, social media, webinars, and other appropriate dissemination channels.Participate in project meetings and communication activities that help grow and promote the Center.Other related tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated skills to support assigned work,or an equivalent amount of experience.Demonstrated organizational skills.Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Experience developing evidence-based health and safety resources for various audiences, such as toolkits or guidance documents.Experience integrating effective graphic design and/or collaborating with graphic design professionals.Experience working with multiple project leads.Working knowledge of resource dissemination channels including social media applications, webinar platforms, and newsletter applications like constant contact.Understanding of 508 compliance and experience creating compliant documents. The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent computer skills.Work well under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail.Be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
