Resort Housekeeper (Seasonal)- VW

Join our Housekeeping team at our Village of Winnipesaukee resort in Laconia, New Hampshire! An end-of-season retention bonus of $600 is available.

Work Schedule

• Sundays from 9:30 AM - 4 PM
• Midweek scheduling as needed but not required
• Must have reliable transportation

Position Summary

Aids in all aspects of the housekeeping department, including cleaning rooms or villas, performing house aide duties, and maintaining public spaces. Ensures room cleanliness meets inspection standards and reports cleanliness and condition of each assigned area. Completes required paperwork and identifies room assignments and cleaning requirements.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Adheres to quality assurance standards and reports accidents or injuries to management.
• Schedules routine carpet/tile cleaning and deep cleaning of rooms.
• Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and make recommendations for service improvements.
• Plans and posts schedules for housekeeping, laundry, and houseman services.
• Prepares room assignments and schedules midweek cleans for stayovers.
• Updates the Front Desk Housekeeping daily worksheet.
• Communicates with the Maintenance Department about maintenance concerns and reports status to the front desk.
• Checks On-Demand Housekeeping (ODH), inspects cleaned areas, investigates complaints, and takes corrective action.
• Uses active listening techniques to de-escalate irate guests and ensures staff tag lost and found items.
• Begins work at 9:30 AM on Sundays and may need midweek scheduling.

Physical Demands

• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED;
• One to three months of related experience and/or training;
• Equivalent combination of education and experience;
• One year of work-related experience.
