RV Resort Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all guest access areas, restrooms, storage areas, hallways, stairwells, and vending rooms to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests, associates, and vendors.
• Clean RV Resort common area and employee restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Maintain and clean the yurts to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests.
• Prepare and maintain cleaning cart with supplies for efficiency and ease of cleaning yurts.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality.
• Vacuum and/or sweep all floor surfaces in common indoor areas.
• Remove trash from all guest access areas and back of house.
• Strip bed of all linens and remake with fresh linens.
• Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and deliver Resort linens.
• Ensure washers and dryers operate properly and inform management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems.
• Keep laundry area clean and maintain linen cart and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
• Label and submit all lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor immediately.
• Maintain orderliness and stock in supply rooms.
• Ensure clubhouse mirrors, furniture, floors, pool area, and doors are clean and mark-free.
• Wash shower walls and tub; clean toilets, sink, mirrors, and walls to maintain clean and sanitary guest restrooms.
• Replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities; restock literature for arriving guests.
• Wipe down closet (door, handle, and shelves) and restock guest room supplies.
• Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are in working order; immediately alert security to unsecured or unsafe situations for the safety of guests and employees.
• Document any deficiencies, including mechanical and electrical problems from guest rooms, and report to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries.
• Attend all mandatory department and/or training meetings.
• Follow all department policies, procedures, and regulations as required.
• Ensure control/protection of company assets as applicable.
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Exceptional guest service skills required.
• One to three months of experience in the hospitality/cleaning field preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license with the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Must provide signed release allowing the company to obtain driving abstract to show proof of good driving record.
• Must be able to be insured to drive company or customer vehicles by the company insurance carrier.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires the ability to walk, bend, crouch, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning duties with well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and have the ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally. The position requires time indoors and outdoors regularly throughout the day. Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual acuity. This is a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week operation.

Pay

Starting wage: $18.50 per hour.
