About the role
The Home2 Suites is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is part of a growing hotel management company with ten properties across the state. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, including painting, carpet/floor cleaning, etc.
- Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, including the repair and/or replacement of air conditioning units.
- Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment, such as television sets, light fixtures, etc.
- Clean and maintain the hotel’s exterior areas, including the swimming pool, parking lot, and landscaping.
- Report requests for major repairs to the Chief Engineer according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain all aspects of the common areas and guest rooms to minimize the need for outside labor.
- Be available to work every day of the year, responding to maintenance issues at all hours.
- Ensure guest safety and security by being present in guest rooms when unoccupied, reporting potential hazards, and assisting other hotel departments.
- Achieve a guest-first attitude and maintain attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects.
Requirements
- Hotel experience is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and sit for extended periods, often for a minimum of 2 hours at a time.
- Frequent walking and climbing/descending stairs approximately 50% of the time.
- Climb up and down ladders on occasion.
- Use small repair tools with fine dexterity skills.
- Periodically kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed to accomplish required tasks.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and a maximum of 140 pounds with assistance.
