About the role

The Resin and Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and controlling material receipt, inventory, and handling of various materials such as resins, inks, solvents, plates, film stock, and work-in-progress (WIP). This position is essential for supporting production schedules and ensuring efficient material flow.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct resin transfers from railcars and maintain silo levels to support production.
  • Review production demand and plan materials staging to support the schedule.
  • Conduct weekly inventories on resins, inks, solvents, plates, film stock, and WIP, and reconcile on-hand quantities with accounting systems.
  • Mix inks according to production plans.
  • Train and certify associates on powered handling equipment (fork trucks, powered hand jacks).
  • Manage and control partial materials units.
  • Maintain forklift and electric pallet jack certifications and EPA/DOT Hazardous Materials Training.
  • Stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift and may spend up to 30% of time in an office setting.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require night and weekend hours.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to read work instructions in English.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel/Word).
  • Proven track record of excellent attendance.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work outside in hot/cold environments.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours as required.

Skills

  • Responsible for material management and inventory control.
  • Proficient in reading and following work instructions.
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer applications.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working in various environments.
