About the role

Lantern house is a warm and welcoming 2-bedded residential home located in Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield. The home is situated between the quiet area of Skegby and the busy and social Sutton in Ashfield which has a main street. We are close to the Designer village and easy access to both A38 and M1. There are lots of things to do in the area so lots of opportunities for days out.

About Lantern house

Lantern house is a 2-bedded residential home that provides a nurturing atmosphere, focusing on childhood experiences, opportunities for the future, and building strong positive relationships. The home currently houses two young residents with distinct personalities.

What the Role Involves

The role involves supporting daily routines, activities, and emotional well-being, managing and de-escalating challenging situations with empathy, encouraging independence, education, and life skills, and creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment.

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will have a strong, compassionate personality, emotional resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure, flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset, life experience from previous careers or personal challenges, and a desire to grow. Full training and a funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare will be provided.

  • We do not offer sponsorship or support with right to work.
  • All applicants must have their own right to work in the UK, permitting them to work 40 hours per week.
