About the role
IES Residential is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Residential Warehouse Technician to support warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory activities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling activities.
- Receive, stock, organize, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support warehouse personnel by preparing materials and supplies for operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory documentation.
- Communicate with supervisors and operational teams regarding warehouse requirements and inventory updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
- Contribute as a team player in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of warehouse, inventory, labor, or operational experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
- English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
- Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Use warehouse equipment, tools, phones, and tablets.
- Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
- Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
- Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
- Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment.
- Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
- Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
- Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
- Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
