Residential Support Engineer - Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear
About the role
This Construction Sales Engineer role will support key distribution partners in the greater Tampa Bay market by providing technical sales leadership for inside and outside sales distributor sales partners. In this high-visibility position will be both in-office and in the field, leading customer-facing visits across the territory to drive sales of low and medium voltage power distribution equipment and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with electrical contractors and distributor partners
- Provide guidance around the application/use of electrical distribution equipment in construction projects
- Provide subject matter expertise of Siemens products and systems with electrical distributors and contractors
- Work closely with Siemens distributor sales engineers and project management to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of projects
- Utilize Siemens CRM (SieSales) as the tool to develop and forecast contractor opportunities
- Build and maintain a business plan by cultivating a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customer base
- Develop and implement plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty
- Build long term relationships with senior management at key distribution and contractor accounts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is strongly desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered
- 3+ years of successful sales experience
- 2+ years experience with LV/MV power distribution products
- Ability to travel 50% of the time within the greater Tampa Bay area
- Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing & be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering is strongly desired, although a combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered. 3+ years of successful sales experience. 2+ years experience with LV/MV power distribution products. Ability to travel 50% of the time within the greater Tampa Bay area. Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing & be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
- Preferred Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience selling to Electrical Contractors is a requirement.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $73,500.00 to $153,720.00 and is eligible for Sales Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
