Residential Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Train and coordinate direct care staff, particularly evening shift
- Formulate monthly progress reports on each consumer in conjunction with staff
- Work with physicians, psychiatrists, and other medical personnel to coordinate consumers' health care needs
- Share on-call responsibility with Program Supervisor
- Provide shift coverage as needed
- Coordinate maintenance of the program and its vehicles
- Supervise, guide and direct consumers within the home
- Recognize behavioral signs indicating potential emergency & take immediate action by reporting to appropriate staff
- Crisis Intervention as needed
- Direct and assist consumers in preparing for group activities
- Participate in the formulation of consumer’s treatment plan
- Oversee distribution and documentation of all medications scheduled during shift
- Record significant shift happenings/observations in daily log
- Ensure that the administration and documentation of all medications scheduled during the shift are accurate
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and other meetings directed by the Program Supervisor
- Participate in on-going training to learn various behavior management methods and techniques
- Have availability to consumers in emergency situations on a 24-hour basis
Qualifications
- A high school diploma plus two (2) years experience working with developmental disabilities
- An associates degree plus one (1) year experience working with developmental disabilities
- Must have a valid driver's license with less than 6 points
- All positions require a valid Driver's License in good standing and pre-employment drug screening
