Residential Manager Live-In Union Cty (STW)
About the role
Live-in Residential Manager position at one of our residential homes in Wingate, NC (Union County). You will provide support and supervision for 5-6 individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in a home setting, teaching life skills such as cooking, housekeeping, leisure activities, and routine healthcare. You will also supervise 3-4 part-time staff.
The position is live-in, requiring overnight stays Sunday night through Thursday night. You must use the residential home address as your driver’s license address. The typical work week is 60-70 hours.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the residential home budget
- Plan weekly menus and grocery shopping
- Provide transportation for residents
- Oversee healthcare and dispense medication
- Plan and facilitate recreational activities and community integration
- Supervise relief staff and document goals/activities
- Teach meal planning, cooking, and household cleaning
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and social habit development
- Report maintenance requests
- Oversee food and gas budgets
- Drive a full-size passenger van
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities (paid or volunteer)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
Prior group home experience and 6 months of supervisory experience preferred. All experience must be verifiable.

Pay
$50,000 to $60,000 per year, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus payable in three installments: $500 after training completion, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 at 12 months.
