Responsibilities
- Ensure program, agency, and accreditation standards are met regarding the quality of care including individual behavior and treatment plans, ISP documentation, HCSIS, and other required documentation, and in line with Bridgewell Policies & Procedures.
- Coordinate the hiring, training, and supervision of staff, manage staffing needs based on defined ratios and attendance of people served, and coordinate the use of per-diem and agency relief staff as needed.
- Positively manage staff by conducting monthly supervisions, team meetings, supporting, coaching, and mentoring staff to develop skills and abilities, and providing recognition opportunities for staff.
- Provide timely Performance Evaluations. Ensure performance standards are met, and proactively address performance concerns, working with program management and Human Resources, as appropriate.
- Maintain certifications (such as CPR/1st Aid, MAP, PPS, and PABC, as required), and complete all other training requirements of Bridgewell and the program's funding sources.
- Complete administrative duties including finance, human resources, payroll, quality assurance, electronic health records, and Medication Administration Procedures.
- Manage On-Call coverage based on a rotating schedule for the program, or cluster, as designated. Address concerns and provide directions to employees, manage callouts and schedule per diem staff, report accidents to Transportation, and ensure positive neighbor relationships.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and nursing teams to ensure the behavioral and medical needs of the people served are met. Communicate and document the coordination and management of each person's needs.
- Work with guardians and family members on issues related to the care and services provided to their family members. Communicate proactively, building positive relationships and ensuring staff are trained in best practices for working with families.
- Manage the financial responsibilities of the program, including program expenses, monitoring overtime, supply ordering, and monthly budget review.
- Support people served with financial needs, such as managing funds, applying for benefits, and coordinating transportation.
- Provide direct care in the absence of program staff, as needed. This can include covering individual shifts and assisting with management needs in other programs.
- Coordinate or assist with program community outings and meetings with families. Ensure all information and materials are prepared, and positive relationships are built and maintained. Ensure positive neighbor relationships are maintained, and any concerns are raised to senior management.
- Manage the technology needs of the program, including employee time and attendance, and data management/electronic health record systems. Ensure information is tracked as required, and system needs and issues are raised to the IT Department or Payroll Department, as appropriate.
- Ensure vehicles assigned to the program maintain registrations as required and receive maintenance as scheduled. Coordinate and address needs with the Transportation Department. Ensure employee use of the vans follows established Bridgewell protocols. Report accidents in a timely manner to Transportation.
- Ensure the confidentiality of Personal Health Information, records of people served, and other related information is in compliance with HIPAA, and other state or federal mandates.
- Ensure safe operations of the program by providing safety training per the Safety Calendar, addressing program physical maintenance needs, conducting audits as required, and alerting management to any concerns.

Requirements
- Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct care role OR High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a direct care role. At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role is required.
- Required Skills/Knowledge: Ability to lead and supervise staff to performance standards. Conflict Resolution and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations. Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights. Ability to work as a cohesive team member with other inter-disciplinary team members including BCBA's and nursing. Ability to set priorities for self and team in alignment with departmental goals. Ability to delegate tasks effectively, communicate expectations clearly, and establish deadlines. Ability to provide Coaching and mentoring to their team members to enhance their skills and performance. Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills. Ability to encourage employee engagement and ensure an inclusive work environment. Strong computer skills including the ability to coordinate data entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems. Ability to be certified and maintain such certification in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR, and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures. Must have a current US driver's license and one year of driving experience. Demonstrate ability to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van.
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: The physical demands of staff working in residential programs assisting people with their care needs are varied and require the employee to be able to maneuver people of varying weights, and provide lifting, balance support, and physical intervention in several scenarios.
Pay
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
