Residential Manager
The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in the state of Idaho. Our mission: We unite for Idaho’s youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience. Be a part of setting a new standard for residential care for generations to come at our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.
About the role
As a Residential Manager for the Residential Center for Healing & Resilience, you will oversee the program as part of the management team, helping to nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth. Every member of the IYR works to contribute to the Programs and Services in their own way to make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise residential staff members, including direct care staff
- Establish a schedule that ensures the best operation of the program
- Ensure that personnel know and understand the service plans of each individual child in their program
- Support the Program Manager, program, and clinical staff by covering on-call duties as assigned
Requirements
- Be 25 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent and three years of full-time experience in a children’s residential care facility or an Associate’s degree and two years full-time experience in a children’s residential facility or a Bachelor’s degree and one year full-time experience in a children’s residential treatment facility
- Valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, behavioral management techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches
- Background in the treatment of adolescents
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a residential facility in a managerial or supervisory role
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing requirements governing residential treatment facilities

Schedule
Tuesday - Saturday from 12pm - 8pm
This position is located in Idaho and candidates must be within a reasonable distance to our location.
