Residential Manager
About the Role
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. This position is responsible for coordinating aspects of daily operations for assigned residences in conjunction with the Residential Director. You will oversee compliance with OPWDD regulations, daily operations, and procedural routines, including resident inventories, residence supply inventories, food inventories, and recreation supplies. The Residential Manager ensures proper staffing ratios, monitors benefit use and overtime, and guarantees that staff receive all necessary trainings during orientation and annually. You will also prepare for and attend Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings, ensuring procedures are followed and implemented.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of assigned residences in collaboration with the Residential Director.
- Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations.
- Manage inventories (resident, residence supplies, food, recreation supplies).
- Oversee proper staffing ratios and monitor benefit use and overtime.
- Ensure staff receive required trainings during orientation and annually.
- Prepare for and attend Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings.
- Implement and follow Treatment Team procedures as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s Degree or 60+ credits required (or three years of experience in the mental health field as a substitute).
- Two years of progressively responsible positions in a residential setting serving the same population (age, diagnosis, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and a sense of humor.
- Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
Physical Requirements
- Pre-employment physical required.
- Significant and frequent walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and standing.
- Exposure to sunlight and heat due to frequent planned outdoor activities.
- Sufficient speaking and hearing ability to communicate effectively by phone or in person.
- Adequate vision to read correspondence, computer screens, and forms.
- Good manual dexterity.

Pay
$62,353.20 per year.
