About the role

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. As a Residential Manager, you will coordinate daily operations for assigned residences in conjunction with the Residential Director. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance with OPWDD regulations, managing daily operations and procedural routines (resident inventories, supply inventories, food inventories, recreation supplies), ensuring proper staffing ratios, and monitoring benefit use and overtime. You will also ensure staff receive necessary trainings and that Treatment Team meetings are prepared for and attended by assigned staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations for assigned residences in conjunction with the Residential Director.
  • Oversee compliance with OPWDD regulations in the assigned residence.
  • Manage daily operation and procedural routines, including resident inventories, residence supply inventories, food inventories, and recreation supplies.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratio and monitor benefit use and overtime.
  • Ensure staff assigned to the residence receive all necessary trainings during orientation and on an annual basis.
  • Prepare for and attend Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings, ensuring procedures are followed and implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s Degree or 60+ credits required (will consider substituting three years of experience in the mental health field for the academic requirement).
  • Two years of progressively responsible positions in a residential setting serving the same population (age, diagnosis, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and a sense of humor.
  • Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Pre-employment physical required.
  • Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and standing.
  • Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
  • Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
  • Good manual dexterity.

$62,353.20 per year
