Residential HVAC Service Technician
About the role
Hammond Services, a family-owned and operated Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical company, is seeking HVAC Service Technicians to join their team. The position requires travel to the Griffin office for on-the-job training (up to 6 weeks).
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, replace, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning condenser and coils using approved methods and chemicals.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on residential systems with minimal assistance and supervision while maintaining a positive attitude with customers.
- Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
- Use software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of HVAC residential and/or light commercial field experience required.
- Completion of HVAC schooling, preferred.
- Obtain the appropriate certifications (EPA Type I, II, III or Universal).
- Other HVAC certifications are a PLUS!
- A valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

$70,000 - $130,000 per year
