About the role

Hammond Services, a family-owned and operated Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical company, is seeking HVAC Service Technicians to join their team. The position requires travel to the Griffin office for on-the-job training (up to 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, replace, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
  • Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning condenser and coils using approved methods and chemicals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on residential systems with minimal assistance and supervision while maintaining a positive attitude with customers.
  • Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
  • Use software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of HVAC residential and/or light commercial field experience required.
  • Completion of HVAC schooling, preferred.
  • Obtain the appropriate certifications (EPA Type I, II, III or Universal).
  • Other HVAC certifications are a PLUS!
  • A valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

$70,000 - $130,000 per year
