About the role

Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Gambrills, MD. This position offers a competitive rate of $21 per hour and requires availability from Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 9 pm. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, promoting independence, ensuring safety, and providing support with daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a similar role or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow protocols for residents' well-being
• Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required
• Capable of lifting at least 50lbs
• Commitment to attending and completing all necessary trainings

Responsibilities

• Aid residents with daily tasks like meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters residents' independence and self-esteem
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents
• Implement individual care plans and behavioral support strategies
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
• Ensure residents' safety and well-being at all times
