About the Role
We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at The Beckett Center in Medford, Oregon. The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, supporting individuals to develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.
- Provide personal care services and support
- Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing while encouraging client participation
- Pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
- Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services
- Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services
This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
About the Program
The Beckett Center is a 14-bed, licensed crisis residential facility serving adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The program offers private rooms, including ADA-accessible bedrooms and baths, multiple community areas, a large kitchen, and secured outdoor space to enjoy. ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Requirements
- Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred
- Dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Driving is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license from your state of residence (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire) and a safe driving record are required
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
- Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135)
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to frequently:
- Talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb stairs
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable
You must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require lifting and transferring clients.

Pay
$21.42 - $22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials.
Differentials (subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements):
- Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM (provided at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this period)
- Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program
- Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program
Schedule
Part-time, Sunday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
