ColumbiaCare Services is a non-profit, behavioral health and Veteran’s service agency offering a full spectrum of programming to help people get better. We specialize in providing outpatient services, residential treatment programs, mental health housing, and other supports in beautiful and therapeutic service settings.

About the Role

We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at The Beckett Center in Medford, Oregon. The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, helping individuals develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.

  • Provide personal care services and support
  • Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing while encouraging client participation
  • Pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
  • Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services
  • Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program

With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision to gain on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks
  • Support clients in developing daily living skills and independent activities of daily living
  • Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing
  • Pass medications and perform delegated medical care under RN guidance
  • Transport clients to and from the program for treatment services
  • Maintain compliance with documentation standards

Requirements

  • Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred
  • Dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Valid driver's license from your state of residence (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire), maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check
  • Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135)

Physical Demands

  • Frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb stairs
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
  • Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable
  • Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques, including lifting and transferring clients

The Beckett Center is a 14-bed, licensed crisis residential facility serving adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The program offers private rooms, including ADA-accessible bedrooms and baths, multiple community areas, a large kitchen, and secured outdoor space to enjoy. ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Pay

$21.42 - $22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Differentials:

  • Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this period
  • Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program
  • Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program

Schedule

Sunday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Part Time Day)
