RESIDENTIAL AIDE I/ II

This position functions as part of the clinical team in a culturally sensitive consumer residential treatment facility to provide rehabilitation services to consumers experiencing emotional and behavioral complications and addictive disorders. Multiple positions available.

About the role

Programs you may work in:

• Women and Children Center for Inner Healing (WCCIH) – A medium-intensity, long-term residential treatment program for substance-abusing pregnant and postpartum mothers with children through age seven. Services include group and individual sessions to address addiction cycles and triggers, life skills training, and parenting support.
• Ralph Perdue Center (RPC) – A short-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program (average 45 days) for native and non-native adult men and women. Services include individual or group counseling, alcohol/drug education, and case management based on individual needs and assessments.
• Street Outreach Advocacy Program (SOAP)/SOAP Basic Center – An outreach program for youth ages 10 to 25 who are at high risk of homelessness, currently homeless, or have run away. SOAP aims to protect youth from abuse, sexual exploitation, and assault, and prevent criminal activity due to lack of resources.

Qualifications

RA I:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
• Must be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record for the past three years (for company insurance purposes).

RA II:

• All RA I qualifications, plus:
• Three years of regular, full-time specialized work experience providing direct consumer care to culturally diverse consumers experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Schedule

• Regular Full-Time (RFT): 40 hours/week
• Regular Part-Time (RPT): 32 hours/week
• Regular on Call (ROC): 24 hours/week
• Temporary on Call (TOC): On call, up to 29 hours/week

Pay

Starting wage: $19.29 per hour, dependent on experience.
