Residential Advisor -- Penobscot Job Corps Center 2:45pm-11:45pm ($ 1,000.00 Sign on Bonus)

About the role

The Residential Advisor position at the Penobscot Job Corps Center is a full-time opportunity available from 2:45pm to 11:45pm, offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Mets at least bi-weekly with assigned students.
• Manages student incidents to protect all students from harm.
• Notes individual meetings with students addressing issues and expressing plans to resolve problems.
• Notifies other staff to coordinate services via memo, phone, or personal conversation.
• Completes dormitory inspections yielding acceptable ratings.
• Participates in events, demonstrating professional behaviors for students and modeling employment skills.
• Completes assignments within time frames and rarely requires correction.
• Ensures student folders present and up-to-date with a history of services provided to support success in achieving long and short-term goals.
• Ensures student data is accurate and submitted within established time frames.
• Both medical and AWOL removal logs indicate all procedures have been followed within established time frames.
• Makes regular entries in Dorm logs indicating conditions of dorms during rounds.
• Accuracy and timely submission of all accountability documents and reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.

Qualifications

Some College in Human Services area preferred.
