Residential Advisor -- Penobscot Job Corps Center 2:45pm-11:45pm ($ 1,000.00 Sign on Bonus)
About the role
The Residential Advisor position at the Penobscot Job Corps Center is a full-time opportunity available from 2:45pm to 11:45pm, offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Mets at least bi-weekly with assigned students.
- Manages student incidents to protect all students from harm.
- Notes individual meetings with students addressing issues and expressing plans to resolve problems.
- Notifies other staff to coordinate services via memo, phone, or personal conversation.
- Completes dormitory inspections yielding acceptable ratings.
- Participates in events, demonstrating professional behaviors for students and modeling employment skills.
- Completes assignments within time frames and rarely requires correction.
- Ensures student folders present and up-to-date with a history of services provided to support success in achieving long and short-term goals.
- Ensures student data is accurate and submitted within established time frames.
- Both medical and AWOL removal logs indicate all procedures have been followed within established time frames.
- Makes regular entries in Dorm logs indicating conditions of dorms during rounds.
- Accuracy and timely submission of all accountability documents and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
Qualifications
Some College in Human Services area preferred.
