What You Will Do
- Review plans and bid documents for completeness and accuracy, clarifying details with builders as needed.
- Develop detailed scope sheets using product knowledge (materials, vendors, lead times, premium options, accessories, and installation requirements).
- Cook up bid setup with the General Manager, confirming labor rates and margin requirements before submitting to estimators.
- Support the estimating and quoting process by answering estimator questions, reviewing completed estimates, and preparing final quote summaries for customer delivery.
- Manage follow-up and post-sale handoff, maintaining CRM updates, organizing Dropbox documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition to operations/account administrators.
Required
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of residential construction processes, siding materials, and installation practices.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans and bid documents.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging builders and customers professionally.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems, Dropbox, and standard business software.
- Customer Service: Professional demeanor with ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
PREFERRED
- 2+ years of experience in construction, estimating, or project coordination.
- Knowledge of building materials, vendor relationships, and supply chain logistics.
- Previous experience in a commission-based sales or sales support role.
- Familiarity with residential construction practices in the North Carolina market.
