About the role

This role supports resident programs across The Housing Company (THC) Properties, promoting resident well-being, community engagement, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of residents.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and promote educational and social service resources for residents, including trainings, workshops, and community events
  • Develop and maintain regional resource guides for services available
  • Conduct quarterly evaluations to assess community needs, with a focus on upstream instability prevention
  • Research and provide relevant presentations, seminars, and classes to address the identified needs and interests of our residents
  • Create and distribute quarterly resident newsletters to keep residents informed of services and programming
  • Support internal team in identifying local services and service providers for residents
  • Sources and coordinates Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) providers and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Track vacancies, resident referrals, and additional information to maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements
  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in a social science, public administration, human services, or related field, preferred
  • Grant writing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Section 8 and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations

Qualifications

  • Experience working with residents and community organizations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of housing policy and program requirements

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
