About the role
The role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the memory care unit, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of residents in the memory care unit
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Manage staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care or related field
- Current Wisconsin Department of Health Services license or certification
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Skills
- Knowledge of memory care best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with data management systems
