Responsibilities
- Coverage of site setup activities, including office arrangements, relocation files organization, vendor identification, and off-site relocation units.
- Surveying residents to understand relocation needs and preferences, conducting inventory of tenant belongings and furniture, and addressing issues like infestations, clutter, and hoarding.
- Participation in and facilitation of resident and community meetings, drop-in sessions, and the distribution of notices regarding the relocation program.
- Providing relocation counseling and assistance, ensuring compliance with regulations, implementing relocation policies, and serving as a liaison between HOU, property management, clients, and residents.
- Creation of weekly and monthly reports, updating relocation files, databases, lottery lists, and tracking reports, and conducting pre-inspections of units.
- Assisting with utility disconnection and reconnection, completing change of address forms, and supervising moves and related tasks, including pest inspections and unit turnovers.

- Ensuring residents are prepared for moving by checking in with them at least 30 days before moving and following up weekly three weeks before the moving date.
- Providing packing supplies, tips, demonstrations, and assistance, and interfacing with residents' families, friends, or social services providers to address relocation challenges.
- Representing HOU at company events and participating in weekly supervision and site meetings with the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager.
- Maintaining relocation files and data-tracking systems, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
- Experience in relocation services, social services, customer service, or similar fields.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and communicate effectively with numerous stakeholder groups, including staff, clients, and residents.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite as well as database applications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
