Resident Manager

The Resident Manager will lead day‑to‑day building operations, oversee an established maintenance team, and ensure the property consistently meets the highest standards of quality and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: Direct and supervise maintenance employees, recommend hiring, termination, discipline, promotion, and rewards in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity requirements and Fair Housing policies.
• Building Operations: Oversee all maintenance and repairs, ensure a staff member is available to respond to emergency calls at all times.
• Product Presentation: Ensure apartment turnovers are impeccably clean, mechanically sound, and properly painted before resident move‑in.
• Maintenance of Common Areas: Keep laundry rooms, hallways, offices, shops, storage, refuse areas, and grounds clean; schedule routine janitorial tasks.
• Purchase Order System: Follow purchase order instructions established by the district/regional office.
• External Maintenance Services: Solicit, review, and recommend third‑party contracts when directed by the District Manager or designee.
• Guest Authorization Protocol: Ensure concierge staff registers guest/key authorizations in the Yardi system according to designated steps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent hands‑on experience in the property management industry.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Facilities/Operations experience with strong working knowledge of building systems.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction.
• Experience managing a Tenant Amenity Space.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry software systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, internally and externally.

Pay

$110,000 – $120,000 base salary plus an annual discretionary bonus and a 2‑bedroom/1‑bathroom on‑site unit.
