Resident Driver

About the Role

Performs delivery and courier duties as assigned, including postal pick-ups and deliveries both on and off campus. This is a part-time position (20 hours a week), 2–3 days during the week. Pay: $17.50/hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform delivery and courier duties as assigned, including postal pick-ups and deliveries both on and off campus.
• Provide transportation and related services for special events, trips, and medical appointments.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles and wheelchairs, and assist wheelchair-bound residents between the vehicle and destination.
• Load and unload required ancillary equipment (e.g., wheelchairs and walkers).
• Operate any assigned vehicle in a safe and legal manner for a complete trip as scheduled, including any necessary vehicle warm-up time, passenger assistance (including help entering and departing the vehicle), and loading/unloading packages.
• Check vehicles regularly for safety or maintenance problems and report any issues immediately to supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CDL license to be obtained within the first six months of employment — company will pay for training and associate fees for an employee in good standing.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a clear driving record for 3 years.
