Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various appointments while delivering quality service.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone, or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruptions in service.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewal process.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per-trip basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledgeable of all safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management, and handling multiple priorities.
