Responsibilities

  • Supervise professional and non-professional nursing staff to ensure quality of care.
  • Make rounds to assess the effectiveness of care, resident satisfaction, and compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver quality care and services with high customer service.
  • Manage new resident admissions by building medical records, welcoming new residents and their families, and processing discharges to lower levels of care.
  • Participate in evaluations, discipline, and motivation of staff, and communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing and administration.
  • Provide explanations of nursing care to residents and families and administer direct or emergency care when necessary.
  • Contact emergency medical services as needed and handle special projects as assigned.
  • Assign work areas and relocate staff to ensure high-quality nursing care and task completion.
  • Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
  • Assure the maintenance of nursing units and equipment, report maintenance needs, and ensure patient safety and security.
  • Communicate with other department supervisors, physicians, consultants, staff, residents, and families to coordinate care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed as an LPN or RN in the State.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $100,688.00 - $143,210.00 per year. The actual offered rate of pay may vary based on various factors including job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
