About the role
The Resident Care Manager directs, coordinates, and supervises care services provided by care associates for the senior residents. They ensure exemplary service is delivered with integrity, dignity, and compassion. This role may involve medication control and coordination with physicians to ensure care and medications are delivered as directed. The Resident Care Manager also encourages independence and ensures each resident's physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate assigned residents and regularly assess levels of care, especially when there is a change in condition or to determine if a resident is no longer appropriate for the setting.
- Notify Assistant Living Director as required.
- Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associates to assist.
- Effectively supervise departmental operations as directed on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the department director or Executive Director.
- Respond in a tactful and timely manner to all residents, family members, and/or staff.
- May be responsible for supervising resident medication programs.
- May be asked to monitor all physician orders and ensure they have been followed timely and accurately.
- Aid in scheduling for Care associates.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- A high school diploma is required; college coursework is preferred.
- A registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) certification is required.
- One to three years' experience working in senior care is preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain the appropriate state license required by law if required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom tools is required.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate required; college course work preferred.
Skills
Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

$80,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
