ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains consistent, professional communication with residents and family members to provide prompt and courteous resolution of concerns.
- Addressees resident concerns and requests in a timely manner, in coordination with the Assisted Living Director, to support resident satisfaction.
- Participates in pre-admission screening, service planning, and ongoing resident observations in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
- Ensures current resident files, including care and service plans, are properly maintained.
- Collaborates with the Assisted Living Director to coordinate all aspects of Assisted Living operations and meet or exceed state regulations.
- Observes and reports changes in resident condition to licensed clinical personnel, physicians, and the resident’s responsible party, as appropriate.
- Supports the Assisted Living Director in achieving acceptable results from state and other regulatory agencies.
- Aids the Assisted Living Director in hiring decisions, training, performance coaching, and providing disciplinary input for department team members.
- Provides support to staff and encourages teamwork. Leads by example in creating a harmonious work environment.
- Aids the Assisted Living Director in maintaining the community’s appearance and coordinating repairs.
- Safeguards all administrative paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensures proper response to and handling of all community emergencies with staff.
- Maintains good infection control practices as required by policy.
- Collaborates with the Assisted Living Director to complete resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing service plan reviews.
- Aids the Assisted Living Director with staffing coordination, including schedule management, coverage, overtime monitoring, and staffing plan support.
- Routinely audits resident records, care plans, medication documentation, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates caregiver orientation, continuing education, and competency development.
- Participates in incident review, quality assurance activities, and survey readiness.
- Represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Operates a company vehicle or personal vehicle, as required, to perform job duties.
- Works in a high-pressure environment, interacts with difficult customers and vendors, handles urgent matters, resolves conflicts, and demonstrates effective interpersonal skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of resident, employee, and community information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Shares on-call and staff scheduling responsibilities with the Assisted Living Director to ensure 24/7 coverage of Assisted Living operations, including weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a senior living community or related field.
- Must hold and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and First Aid certification from an accredited provider, such as the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Thorough understanding of regulations related to community operations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The position is required to frequently sit for long periods of time, walk, stand, climb stairs, and communicate with residents, staff, family members and the public.
- Occasionally bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position typically operates indoors in an air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light.
- You may be exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow is common.
- May occasionally be exposed to extreme conditions, including high heat, humidity, freezing temperatures, and heavy rain while performing outdoor tasks.
- You will also periodically be confined to a vehicle.
