Responsibilities
- Document information pertaining to changes in residents' status, needs, and appointments
- Ensure proper documentation of all care plans, nurses' notes, and all other resident correspondence
- Provide orientation and on-the-job training to Caregivers and Medication Techs
- Assist with daily living activities (i.e., bathing, dressing, and eating)
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits
- Complete quarterly evaluations of residents as assigned by the Director of Health Services and/or Executive Director
- Participate and provide feedback in Quality Assurance Meetings
- Manage scheduling of Caregiver and Medication Tech staff, ensuring adequate staff are on duty at all times
- Participate in morning stand-up meetings, providing recommendations and feedback as appropriate
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joy
- Complete ongoing training as assigned
- Support caregivers in daily resident care, communication, and problem-solving
- Affirm adequate supplies and equipment are on hand to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the facility and residents
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Follow established healthcare standards and practices
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff
- On-call staffing responsibilities after hours and weekends as needed
Requirements
- Prefer experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in a Memory Care/Unit or Assisted Living Facility
- Maintain and have an active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment
- Have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card
- Experience in electronic medical records documentation
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in the State position the position is held
- Must be 18 years or older
- Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment
