Responsibilities

  • Assures for the initial and periodic (semiannually & annually) follow-up of the Individual’s programmatic & clinical assessment
  • Conducts the IDT meeting and writes the minutes for the monthly Interdisciplinary Team Meeting (IDT)
  • Responsible for Staffing and Staff Supervision: Proper and adequate staffing of the facility; Directs the assistant in the accurate fulfillment of that task; Monitors and directs of staff responsible for the daily operations of the physical plant; Guides and motivates staff in the implementation of the Individuals treatment plans; Ensures that the recommendations of the IDT Team are carried out; Ensures good community relations, especially the immediate, surrounding community; Supervises the assistant supervisor in the areas of ordering, stocking, and maintenance of the house and household supplies; Completes and administers all performance evaluations of union staff; Resolves employee related problems and issues; Conducts suspensions and participates in employment terminations; Participates in the grievance process with union employees.
  • Overseeing the Active Treatment of the Individuals: Training, observation, role modeling
  • Attends conferences and/or training sessions at the direction of the Area Coordinator/Residence Director
  • Maintains all written records/reports appropriate to the duties of the position: IDT/ISP minutes, physical plant checklists, accounting department requests, PDR, staff evaluations
  • Participates in the hiring process: Attends job/career fairs and open houses with Human Resource Recruiter

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with supervision and management of staff
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
