Opengate Inc. is seeking a Residence Manager to oversee the daily operations of an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). This role holds overall responsibility for the residence, ensuring high-quality care for residents in alignment with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and supervision to all staff assigned to the residence, including shift assignments and staffing patterns.
  • Ensure employees complete required orientation, training, and ongoing professional development, with an emphasis on DSP Core Competencies.
  • Conduct monthly coaching and regularly scheduled meetings with staff; complete performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Provide direct care coverage and transport residents using an agency vehicle as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overnights, and participation in the On-Site Manager rotation.
  • Complete staffing schedules, ensuring compliance with minimum staffing requirements.
  • Prepare Individualized Program Plan (IPP) reports and participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings for each resident.
  • Ensure treatment plans are current, documented, and implemented effectively.
  • Actively participate in each resident’s IDT to foster independence and productivity.
  • Adhere to incident management procedures and follow up on recommendations from the Incident Review Committee (IRC).
  • Maintain a safe physical environment, reporting and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage finances for residents, including ledgers, secure debit cards, and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Submit purchase orders for personal and residence needs; oversee food purchasing, handling, and storage.
  • Order equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Train staff on electronic systems such as FIIX, ADP, Precision Care, eRequester, and Relias.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain timely communication with residents, their families, and staff.
  • Develop and implement recreation and activity schedules tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
  • Participate in the Internal Audit Process.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines for a safe, healthy, and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with the I/DD population.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Must maintain AMAP certification and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Physical Requirements

  • Non-sedentary role requiring frequent standing and walking.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds and assist residents with movement (turning, lifting).
  • Works in a professional office and residential environment.

Pay

$73,000 – $78,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
