Residence Inn by Marriott Sedona - Part Time Evening Bartender/Server

About the role

This is a tipped position that involves complete restaurant opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean all equipment areas and lock equipment doors
• Set up, stock, clean and maintain work areas
• Take orders from customers and input orders in Micros POS system
• Obtain payment and provide change
• Upsell customer food orders
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
• Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area
• Count bank at the end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank

Qualifications

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to distinguish colors. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
