Reservationist
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver elevated and attentive service throughout all stages of the guest experience
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries through reservation platforms, phone calls, email, and other communication channels.
- Provide warm, professional, and knowledgeable service in all guest interactions.
- Accurately maintain guest profiles, preferences, special occasions, dietary restrictions, and VIP notes.
- Confirm reservations and proactively communicate important details, policies, and special arrangements with guests.
- Cook up seating flow and dining room capacity.
- Aid in managing reservation demand, table availability, and strategic booking practices.
- Ensure all guest-facing areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations
- Approach guest interactions with warmth, confidence, and approachability
- Monitor reservation trends and communicate potential opportunities or challenges to management.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, feedback, and special requests.
- Support guest recovery efforts by addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant offerings, menus, operating hours, events, and promotions.
- Ensure all reservation systems and guest databases remain accurate and up to date.
- Aid in host stand operations and guest reception as needed during service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest relations, reservations, or customer service
- Experience with reservation platforms such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy, or similar systems preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and guest management software.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours), and to crouch, bend, and lift or move
- 25+ lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00)
