Responsibilities
- Learn laboratory procedures and techniques from team members, including battery electrode formulation and processing
- Prepare and optimize electrode slurries and coatings
- Support coin cell and pouch cell assembly, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols
- Conduct electrochemical testing (e.g., cycling, rate capability, impedance) and assist with data analysis
- Follow established processes while contributing ideas for improvement in battery fabrication and testing workflows
- Document procedures and experimental results accurately; help refine and standardize documentation practices over time
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth communication, project execution, and knowledge sharing
- Adept to changing project priorities and experimental plans as needed
Requirements
- BS or BS/MS in Chemistry (or closely related field such as Materials Science or Chemical Engineering)
- Strong ability to learn new laboratory procedures and techniques, including electrode fabrication and electrochemical methods
- Hands-on experience or coursework related to battery systems, electrochemistry, or energy storage is preferred
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently when needed
- Flexible mindset with a willingness to rethink and refine procedures and experimental approaches
- Good documentation habits, with openness to improving and standardizing technical records
- High attention to detail and accuracy in both lab work and data recording
- Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
