Research Technician
Key responsibilities
- Quickly identify valuable IT equipment and prep for sale
- Research values of IT equipment
- Repair and part out IT type equipment (PCs, Notebooks, Printers, Servers, etc.)
- Ensure all customer data has been removed from IT equipment
- Travel for in/out of state special projects when required
- Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Applicant has typing skills and be able to perform constant data entry
- Resume shows a background working with computers
- Work history doing hardware repair
- Productively work as an individual and as part of a team
- Personality needs to be outgoing, energetic, and able to multi-task and be able to prioritize workflow
- Be creative when it comes to marketing and be able to quickly understand the value of IT type product
- Preferred: A+ certification or IT type degree, PC Tech Experience, Previous employment in computer related job, Familiar with selling on the Internet sales websites
