Research Technician 1, BS-Microbiology

Full-time, regular position located in Boston, MA.

About the role

The Research Technician 1 will support laboratory investigations involving viral immunology, immunological assays, molecular biology techniques, and pathogenesis studies in animal models.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sample preparation and processing.
• Support animal husbandry activities.
• Carry out established laboratory procedures in accordance with biosafety requirements.
• Maintain compliance with institutional laboratory safety standards and operational protocols.
• Contribute to research workflows through execution of established experimental procedures.
• Organize laboratory materials and supplies.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations under the guidance of the principal investigator and laboratory staff.
• Handle laboratory supply ordering.
• Maintain research records.
• Support animal model–based pathogenesis studies conducted by the research team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0–12 months of relevant experience.

Pay

Expected hiring range: $44,000 – $45,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
