About the role
The successful candidate will conduct cutting edge research and provide mentoring for students based in College Station. The candidate will focus primarily on health services research, retrospective database studies, Medicaid, value based payment systems, emergency department use, Telemedicine, and 1115 Medicaid Waiver with potential for limited opportunities to teach and engage in professional service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting edge research in health services research, retrospective database studies, Medicaid, value based payment systems, emergency department use, Telemedicine, and 1115 Medicaid Waiver.
- Mentor students in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
- Potential for teaching and engagement in professional service.
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in Health services research, medical or clinical informatics (not bioinformatics), computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Alignment with Population Informatics Lab (https://pinformatics.org/).
Qualifications
- Strong research background in health services research.
- Experience with health management, health policy, health economics, medical informatics, clinical informatics, and applications of AI/ML/Data science to Health.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
