Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Research Program Administrator, the Research Process Coordinator supports the growth and development of the UHS research mission. This role helps ensure efficient and compliant execution of research projects by improving internal processes, supporting regulatory and legal workflows, and serving as a liaison among investigators, the IRB, Legal, and institutional departments such as Finance. The Research Process Coordinator contributes to audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and the overall success of clinical and translational research activities at UHS and affiliated institutions. This position also provides supervisory oversight of research assistants.

Compensation Range

$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated 3 or more years of experience in a professional setting requiring organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Prior experience in research administration, clinical trials, or IRB/legal regulatory workflows
  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, or nonprofit settings
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes and federal research regulations (FDA, OHRP, HIPAA)
  • Certification in Clinical Research (e.g., ACRP, SOCRA, or equivalent)
  • Certification in GCP, human subjects protection, or research compliance
