About the role
The Shah lab at Mayo Clinic focuses on the development of and treatment for an aggressive blood cancer known as TP53-mutated myeloid neoplasm. These leukemias are highly aggressive and have no effective therapies yet. The applicant will focus on developing novel therapeutics for TP53 mutated myeloid neoplasms using in vitro and in vivo approaches. Specifically, the applicant will be responsible for performing and analyzing cytotoxicity assays, synergy studies, performing ADME, and conducting animal studies using cell-line and patient-derived xenograft models.

Qualifications
- Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
- Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
- Strong publication record.
- Well versed in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (cell culture, DNA, RNA, and protein studies, gene editing, and flow cytometry).
- Interest and prior experience with mouse work—including xenograft models highly desired.
