About the role
The Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina is seeking a qualified individual for an NIH grant supported post-doctoral fellow position to conduct research. The position is available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research projects studying vitamin A metabolism in the retina and RPE, retina degeneration and visual cycle.
- Fulfill required duties as a university employee.
- Publish research papers and make presentations at scientific meetings.
- Participate in mentoring new students in experimental skills.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, or ophthalmology from a University.
- At least 1 year research experience in vision research field.
